Terms of Service — Parallax

By using Parallax (the "app"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
1. Eligibility & account
You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live). You're responsible for your account and for activity under it. Keep your login secure.
2. The service
Parallax is a couples app: a daily set of prompts you and your partner answer, a server-gated "reveal" that scores your alignment, a shared Love Map, and Refocus (AI-assisted conflict mediation). Features may change, and some require both partners to participate.
3. Refocus & AI — not professional advice
Refocus generates suggestions using AI. It is not therapy, counseling, medical, legal, or other professional advice, and is not a crisis service. If you or someone is in danger or crisis, contact local emergency services or a qualified professional. You use AI outputs at your own discretion.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use the app unlawfully; don't harass, abuse, or harm others; don't attempt to access another user's data, break the reveal gate, reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the service; don't submit content you don't have the right to share.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you create (answers, hunches, Love Map entries, Refocus messages). You grant us a limited license to store and process it solely to operate the service for you and your partner (see the Privacy Policy). You're responsible for the content you submit.
6. Subscriptions (Parallax Plus)
Paid features are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions billed through the App Store / Google Play. Pricing, renewal, and cancellation are governed by those stores; manage or cancel in your store account. We don't process or store your payment-card details.
7. Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI outputs are accurate or suitable.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app, including reliance on Refocus outputs. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or SGD 100 if greater is not permitted).
9. Termination
You may stop using the app and delete your account anytime. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect the service or users.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms; we'll revise the "Last updated" date and surface material changes in-app. Continued use means you accept the changes.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and disputes are subject to the courts of Singapore, except where local consumer law gives you other rights.
